What should I do in a fire?

Neptune Wharf operates a stay put fire safety policy.

Your apartment is fitted with smoke and heat detectors and sprinklers as part of the building's fire safety systems.

The communal fire alarm system does not sound inside individual apartments. If there is a fire elsewhere in the building, you should remain in your apartment unless you are directly affected by fire or smoke, or you are instructed to leave by the fire service or Neptune Wharf team.

If you are in a communal area and hear the fire alarm, you should evacuate the building immediately using the nearest safe exit.

If you discover a fire:

  • Leave the immediate area if it is safe to do so.
  • Close doors behind you where possible.
  • Call 999 and provide details of the location of the fire.
  • Follow instructions from the fire service or Neptune Wharf team.

Please familiarise yourself with the fire action notices displayed throughout the building and the location of your nearest fire exits.
